STEEL TYPES

What is the Difference Between 300 and 400 Stainless Steel?
300 Series Steel is the better of the 2 with a higher amount of Nickel in the steel. 400 is less in cost but may show small surface rust specks in certain applications.

How can I Tell if the Steel is 300 or 400?
A magnet will not stick to 300 Series Stainless Steel.

GAUGE OF STAINLESS STEEL

What Does Stainless Steel Gauge Mean?
Gauge (Ga.) is the standard unit of measure to designate thickness of stainless steel. The Lower the guage number, the thicker the steel. 14 Gauge is thicker than 16 Gauge.
18 Gauge - Used more for Economy Line. Most likely to bend or dent and used on most imports.
16 Gauge - Good for more common uses (standard food prep, crafts, lite assembly).
14 Gauge - Good for heavy duty operations (pounding meat, hammering, heavy equipment). least likely to dent.

What are the Benefits of an Undershelf?
Undershelves are Fully Adjustable. Multiple under shelves can be added. Great for storing supplies.

What are the Benefits of an Open Base Table?
Open Base Tables have no undershelf structure. This providses more room for storing larger items that need to be slid under a table. This style table has same support as an undershelf table because of front to back and left to right cross bracing.
